Naomi Fay Scott, 84, of Orange, Texas, died October 10, 2007.
Mrs. Scott was born in DeRidder, Louisiana January 8, 1923 and was a life long homemaker. She was a member of The First Assembly of God Church and an avid quilter, having quilted many quilts for her sons and grandchildren. Her quilts shared the warmth and love that was stitched into each one.
She is the daughter of Ocie Ezell and Della Weeks Spikes and is preceded in death by her mother and father, two brothers; Ocie Ezell Spikes, Jr. and James Owen Spikes, both of Longville, LA and one sister; Nellie Whittington of Groves, TX.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Dewey L. Scott; three sons, Dewey R. Scott, Norman D. Scott and wife Renda, David E. Scott and wife Emma all of Orange; two sisters, Melba Brown of Kirbyville and Elta Ray Houser of Longville; one brother, Oneil Spikes of Longville; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 13, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home, 504 N. Fifth St. in Orange, TX at 1:00 p.m. by the Reverend David Berkheimer.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Scott, Damon Scott, Frank Moore, Matt Scott, Mike Hughes and Eric Ortego.
Visitation will be Friday, October 12th from 6 to 8 p.m.
