Faye McGee, 81, of Bridge City, passed away on April 21, 2021, in Bridge City.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 3, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Ray Wells. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m., Monday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Phil Campbell, Alabama, on June 18, 1939, she was the daughter of Herman Presley Hall and Lois (Elliott) Hall. Faye was a faithful member of the Church of Christ. She worked diligently as an RN for over 30 years at Christus St. Elizabeth. Faye also worked for Home Health and as a diabetic educator. She was famous for her amazing home cooking and passed on many recipes and her love for the kitchen to her grandchildren. Faye loved camping, or as she called it “glamping”, and loved to spend time traveling. She adored her family, who meant the absolute world to her, and would do anything for those she loved. Faye will be deeply missed by all those who came to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Lois Hall; loving husband, James Ross McGee; and sister, Genell Esslinger.
She is survived by her children, Stacy Taborsky and husband James of San Antonio, Teresa Johnson and husband Matthew of Fred and Rachel Lobb and husband Travis of Bridge City; grandchildren, Caleb and Kelli Roberts, Emily Roberts, Cody and Lindsey Johnson, Garrett Johnson, Rebecca Wiseman, Kendall Lobb, and Madeline Lobb; and great-grandchildren, Tinsley Johnson, Jay Johnson, Macy Wiseman, Colton Wiseman, and Weston Wiseman.
