Faye Potts Broughton Parrish

Faye Potts Broughton Parrish, 97, a longtime resident of Beaumont passed away September 3, 2008 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2008 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
Mrs. Parrish was born September 1, 1911 in Corrigan to W.T. and Olive Angel Potts. She was the secretary at Longfellow and Wilbanks elementary where she later retired, enjoyed playing the piano at different nursing homes and donated to several different charities.
Those left to cherish her memory are Jack's wife, Jacky St. Clair Broughton, of Beaumont; son, Don Broughton of Leander; granddaughters, Bridgette Broughton Different and Ed Walker of Lumberton; Cynthia Broughton Parish and husband Rick of Kountze; grandson, Johnny Broughton and wife Arlene of Buna and granddaughter, Bonnie Zamora of California. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Dalton, Dori, Levi and Ryan, Joseph, Ashley, Amy and Jack, J.R. and Danny and Trey, Dustin and Demi; one great greatgrandchild, Cory; sisters, Mildred Rosenfield of Austin and Phoebe Hardy of San Antonio; a very special niece, Charlotte Corkran of Austin and her special friend and caretaker, Owana Mitchell of Beaumont.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Otto Broughton and Hall Parrish; sons, Jack, Joe, Jimmy and Tommy; grandson, Danny Broughton; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Parish, Ed Walker, Johnny Broughton, Dalton Different, Dori Different, Levi Parish, Ryan Parish, Ashley Broughton and Amy Broughton.

The family would like to say thank you to Owana Mitchell who has taken care of and cared for Mrs. Parrish for the last 7 years.
