Florence Byrd Heath, 90, of Orange, died Saturday, August 23, 2008, at her daughter's residence in Nederland.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 27, 2008.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 28, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Reverend Rob Fisher of First United Methodist Church will officiate.
Graveside service and interment will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday at Bryan City Cemetery.
Florence was born March 2, 1918, in Easterly, TX, to Haywood and Pearl Archer Byrd.
Florence was a nurse at Orange Memorial Hospital for 24 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Orange.
She was preceded in death by her husband, O. A. Heath, brother, James Byrd and sisters, Cornelia Frasier and Marie Moss.
She is survived by herdaughters, Janice Albert and husband Joe of Houston, Elaine Edmonds and husband
Howard of Nederland and son Darel Heath of Orange; grandson, Russell Tritico and wife Stephanie of Nederland; great grandson, Sam Tritico; brother Gene Byrd and wife Noreen of Ireland and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Russell Tritico, Howard Edmonds, Joe Albert and Donald Kelley.
