Floyd M. Goodyear, 92, of Orange, died, Thursday, October 4, 2007.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 6, 2007, at First United Pentecostal Church in Orange. Reverend Gary Wheeler will be officiating. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.
Visitation will be 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home
Mr. Goodyear was born September 28, 1915, in Orange, the son of Frank and Sadie Mae Berwick Goodyear.
Mr. Goodyear was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Orange, and for many years worked at Livingston Shipbuilding as the night Superintendent.
Mr. Goodyear is preceded in death by his wife, Willie Dell Goodyear, brothers, Harold Goodyear, David Sterling and sister, Audrey Dyson.
He is survived by hisson, Jerry Goodyear and wife Sharla of Orange, daughter, Barbara Jean Lyons and husband Oscar ?Buddy? of Bridge City, son, Floyd ?Bobby? Goodyear, Jr. of Orange; grandchildren, Sharlena Kedel, Ronald Goodyear, Gina Scott, Terry Lyons and Kim VanAuken; ten great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; sisters in law, Mabel Sterling and Bessie Stevens and husband Reverend L.L. of Lake Jackson; brother in law, Billy Frames of CA., numerous nieces and nephews.
