Floyd Wilson Bertrand, 79, of Orange, died Friday, December 31, 2010, at the Southeast Texas Medical Center in Port Arthur.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
Born in Mamou, Louisiana on August 2, 1931, Floyd was the son of Iowa and Lora Guillory Bertrand. He was a self-employed auto mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maisie Bertrand; one brother; one sister; and son-in-law, Alan Stevens.
Floyd is survived by his daughter, Darlene Cormier of Orangefield; son and daughter-in-law, James and Delores Bertrand of Orangefield; son, Jerry Bertrand of Orangefield; daughter, Gladys Stevens of Mauriceville; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two brothers; and four sisters.
