Frances Beatrice Bower, 84, of Orange, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2008 in Fort Worth, Texas.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Deweyville Pentecostal Church in Deweyville. Officiating will be the Reverend Derrell Orange.
Frances was born February 16, 1924 in Starks, Louisiana to James Raymer and Elnora Levine. When Frances was young she worked with the Red Cross, was a waitress for many years, worked at Roland Day Care Center and retired from Equitable Bag.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, James Raymer and Elnora Raymer Bilbo; husband, Thomas J. Massa, Sr.; daughter, Delores Varnado; and brothers, Wesley and Billy Earl Raymer.
She is survived by daughters, Mary E. Woodall of Indian Lake, Texas, Gerrie LeDoux of Orange; son, Thomas Massa, Jr. and wife Jamie of Orange, numerous nieces, nephews, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving Frances are brothers, James "Buddy" Raymer of West Orange, Vertis Raymer of Deweyville; and sisters, Velma Lee Morvant of Vidor and Vernona Honeycutt of Florida.
