Frances Ann Wilson Chester, 91, of Bridge City, passed away on June 1, 2021, in Bridge City, surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 11, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., prior to the funeral service, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Orangefield, Texas, on September 9, 1929, she was the daughter of Charles Harold Wilson and Ethel (Granger) Wilson. Frances was a member of First Baptist Church in Bridge City where she faithfully and graciously served her Lord. She adored her family and took great joy in being surrounded by them every chance she got. Frances loved horses, quilting, collecting crosses and angels, and hand making crafts for her family and friends to enjoy. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by all those who came to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ethel Wilson; sister, Dorothy Hoffpauir; brothers, Clyde “Jack” H. Wilson and H.W. “Chief” Wilson; and grandson, Richard Wayne Chester.
She is survived by her children, Bill Chester of Fort Worth, Harry Lee Chester, Jr. and wife Becky of Portland, Texas Charles Chester and wife Shelia of Orangefield, Felix Chester and wife Debbie of College Station, Shurla Swope and husband Mike of West Orange, and Shelly Alexander and husband Blair of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Jason, Kevin, Angela, Montana, Michael, Mark, Cari, Crystal, Cara, Charles Jr., Chase, Christopher, Fran, Paul, Brandie, Connie, Amber, Blair Jr., Elliott and Nick; 28 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Chester, Michael Chester, Charles Chester, Jr., Chase Chester, Paul Blackburn and Nicholas Alexander. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Chester, Mark Chester, Chris Ordogne, Blair Alexander, Jr. and Elliott Alexander.
