Frances Hyett Brood, 83, of Conroe, TX, longtime resident of Orange, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 17, 2007.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Reverend David Green will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will begin 1:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
Frances was born March 4, 1924, in Burkburnett, TX, to Leo and Ruby Cox.
Frances was co-owner of Hyett Instrument Company in Bridge City from 1966 to 1982.
She will always be remembered for her strong Christian faith. She attended First Presbyterian Church of Conroe, and was a member at First United Methodist Church in Orange for many years where she was very active in UMW. Frances was a volunteer at Orange Christian Services where she was vice president from 1993 to 1994.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother, always putting her family first.
She is being received in Heaven by her parents, husband and father to her children Maurice Hyett, her son Ralph, her grandson Jeremy, her brother Leo Cox, Jr. and her second husband Joseph Brood.
She is survived by her sisters Mable Amspoker, of Jacksonville, FL, and Dorothy Walker of Willis, TX; two daughters, Fran Mathews and husband Richard of The Woodlands, TX, Marilyn McShan and husband Lawrence of Orange; son, Roy Hyett and wife Julia of Mauriceville and daughters, Susan Van Leuwin of Phoenix, AZ and Mary Fiumano of Ohio. She will lovingly be remembered by her grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed greatly and loved always by everyone that her life touched.

thanks to her dear caretaker, Martha Pineda, for the love shown to Frances until the end.
