Frances Roberts Moody
Frances Roberts Moody, 87, of Orange,TX, was reunited with her loving husband on July 9, 2021, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, TX.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, TX. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn in Orange, TX.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, TX.
Born in Avera, Mississippi, on January 14, 1934, she was the daughter of Eallie Roberts and Seannie (Summers). She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother that is known as “Mamaw” to the grandkids. Frances was a dedicated member of the Little Cypress Baptist Church, and strived to be a godly woman. She loved to paint, read, garden, play piano, sew, and crochet baby blankets for her grand and great-grandchildren. Frances was one of the most loving and tenacious women that you could meet, and she will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. She was retired from J.M Huber – formerly Phillips.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of many years, Forrest Bankston Moody, Jr.; sons, Alan Moody, Sr. and John Moody; brothers, Edgar, Elmer, Billy, and Leonard; and sister, Jessie Mae.
She is survived by her children, Robert Moody and wife Michelle of Orange, TX, and Kenneth Moody and wife Diane of North Richland Hills, TX; daughter-in-laws, Shelley Moody of Lake Jackson, TX, and Renee Moody of Boyd, TX; grandchildren, Alan Moody, Jr., Joshua Moody, Marilyn McBride, Heath Moody, Lara Newman, Chris Bitner, Austin Bitner, Nathan Moody, Miranda Sessums, Matthew Moody, Jeff Moody, Eric Moody, Michael Moody, and Stephen Moody; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gayle Moody of Sandhill, Mississippi; and many nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Moody, Nathan Moody, Alan Moody, Chris McBride, Matthew Moody, Joshua Moody, Chris Bitner, and Austin Bitner. Honorary pallbearers are Eric Moody, Michael Moody, and Stephen Moody.
