Fred Joseph Fusilier, 83, of Orangefield, died Saturday, August 30, 2008, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 5, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange.
Interment will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.
Visitation will be 5:00-9:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2008, at the funeral home.
Fred was born June 28, 1925, in Basile, LA, to Adam Joseph and Olive Bertrand Fusilier, Sr.
Fred served in both the U.S. Navy and Air Force during WWII. He retired from DuPont where he worked as a pipefitter and was a member of Pipefitters Local 195 in Beaumont for 55 years.
He was preceded in death by his son Fred Joseph Fusilier II.
He is survived by his sons and daughter, Kenneth Fusilier of Beaumont, Steven Fusilier of Maine, Sindy Roseatt of Hutto, TX and Jamie Fusilier of Mississippi; three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; and brother, Adam "Speed" Fusilier and wife Delores "Aunt Dee" of Orangefield.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jackie Cormier, David Fusilier, Michael LeDoux, Edward Scales, David LeDoux and Bryan Fusilier.
