Our Bubba was a natural born fighter starting from the very beginning of his life. He was born with a physical handicap, but he never let that slow him down. What he lacked physically, he made up with heart and spirit. He was a very special person who touched many lives.
He was dedicated to his family who loved and adored him. He was the center of our family and definitely a ?Momma?s boy?. His parents fought the hardest for him and his sisters were his cheerleaders. He had his own team - ?TEAM BUBBA?. He fought with health issues all his life but they never kept him down.
His biggest fan club consisted of his three nephews. These boys were his buddies and always at their Uncle Bubba?s side.
Bubba was a faithful member of Eastgate Pentecostal Church in Vidor, Texas. He loved and trusted God with his whole heart. Some of his favorite times were working in the Sunday school department. Bubba could be heard saying before all 23 surgeries, ?As long as I have The Good Lord, a good preacher, and a good doctor I have no worries!?
Bubba was very intellectual and had a passion for WWII history. He loved helping his mom with a daily crossword puzzle and would beat the whole family at trivial games.
The family would like to thank the many friends and relatives who have offered their prayers and support. The family would also like to acknowledge Dr. Santos Soberon and the caring staff of St. Elizabeth and DuBuis Hospitals.
