Garland Ray "Sam" Linder, 90, of Bridge City passed away Sunday, July 27, 2008.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Charles "Butch" Thurman, Mr. Linder's nephew, will officiate.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.
Visitation will be 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Sam was born December 6, 1917, in Spearsville, LA, to Charles O. and Artie Byrom Linder.
He retired from Allied Chemical where he was a production operator.
He was preceded in death by his parents, C. O. and Artie Linder, son Louis Linder, brothers, Owen Linder and Cotton Linder and sister, Thelma Thurman.
He is survived by his wife Grace Linder of Bridge City, daughters, Cheryl Johnson and Mike Portier and Patsy Hudson, both of Bridge City; eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, sisters, Helen Weaver, Ruth Platt and Marie Miller and brother, J.M. Linder all of Bridge City.
