Geneva Lynn Thompson, 53, of Orange, Texas, passed away on April 23, 2026, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

Born on March 31, 1973, she was the daughter of Charles “Bo” Reed and Beverly (Jerkins) Reed. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially spending time with loved ones playing board games and quiet movie nights. Music was always close to her heart, bringing comfort and happiness to her days. She also loved the beach, where she could relax, listen to the waves, and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the water. Her warmth, laughter, and the memories she created in these moments will be deeply cherished by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles “Bo” Reed and Beverly Reed; and uncle, John Jerkins.

She is survived by her son, Darren Thompson; sister, Mary Reed; brothers, Dempsey Leonard, Jr., Daniel Reed and wife Elise, and David Reed and wife Sara; several nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
