George Wilder, 83, was born October 1, 1929 in Crowley, Louisiana to Jesse and Ruth Blakeman Wilder and passed away on February 7, 2013 at Harbor Hospital in Beaumont, TX.
Mr. Wilder served with the US Army during the Korean War. He was a long time resident of Vidor, employed as an instrument technician with Colonial Pipeline Company from where he retired.
Mr. Wilder is survived by his daughter, Cindi Picou and husband, Darren, their daughter, Kara Jester, of Orange and his sister, Barbara Bailey of Jennings, LA. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Hoffpauir Wilder and his second wife, Margie Holt Wilder; his parents; brothers, Jack, Herschel and Sam and sisters, Beverly and Peggy.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2013 in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley, Louisiana.
