George Conrad Johnson, Jr., 72, of Orange, Texas, passed away on August 18, 2018, at his home.
Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Portland, Oregon, on November 2, 1945, he was the son of George Conrad Johnson, Sr. and Betty Lucille (Martzolf) Johnson. George served in the U.S. Coast Guard and worked as a firefighter and fire mechanic for Orange County ESD #2. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan and loved anything to do with firetrucks and animals. George loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild more than anything, and held them close to his heart. He will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George, Sr. and Betty Johnson.
He is survived by his children, Peggy Lucille Johnson-Love, and Penni Anne Johnson Bahri Gafsi; grandchildren, Penny Elizabeth Johnson Romberger, and Robert Allen Love, III.; great-grandchild, Alyssa Kelli Romberger; and brother, Richard Curtis Johnson.
