George McCullough, Jr., 86, of Beaumont passed away January 27, 2014 at Harbor Hospice. A gathering of family and friends will be held January 29, 2014 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. A celebration of Mr. McCullough’s life is planned for Thursday, January, 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Sabine Tabernacle.
Mr. McCullough was preceded in death by his daughter, Kay McCullough Hodge, son-in-law, Harry H. Hodge III, daughter -in-law, Gayle Sharpton McCullough, two brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Lillian McCullough, his son, Randall McCullough, 5 grandsons and 2 great-grandsons.
George McCullough’s life was one of service. He was an elder for 38 years at Sabine Tabernacle where he taught Sunday School and volunteered in the homebound ministry. Every month Mr. and Mrs. McCullough would visit and serve communion to those unable to attend church. He retired from Gulf Coast Machine & Supply after 35 years.
