George graduated from Stark Highschool in 1957, before entering the Navy September 1958. After 20 years of service, George retired as a Torpedoman Mate First Class (E6) in December 1977. After the Navy, George moved back to Orange and worked at Huber for 15 years as a maintenance mechanic. He finished his work career as a security guard at Allied Signal. George had a knack for fixing things and could solve almost any problem that came his way. George had a variety of interests that made him a well-rounded individual.
