George H. Joe Massey

George H. "Joe" Massey, 72, of Beaumont, TX passed Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at his home. Joe was born June 20, 1938 to William and Nadie Massey in Nacogdoches, TX. For many years he worked as a Longshoreman and served as President of Local 1610. He retired from Local 21 in Beaumont.

Joe is survived by his wife, Barbara Massey; daughters, Kimberly Baker and husband Theo of Port Arthur, Jodi Peacock and husband Michael of Beaumont; eight grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Wilma Flores, brother, Clifton Earl Massey and sisters, Pauline Prestwood and Sue Jean Redmond.

There will be a gathering of friends and family Thursday, December 9, 2010 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, December 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
