George J. Peloso, 85, of Orange passed away Saturday, June 04, 2011 at The Meadows.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2011 at Winfree Baptist Church. Officiating will be Mr. Steve Culp. Cremation will follow under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Mr. Peloso was born January 25, 1926 in New York City, NY to Joseph and Mary McMahon Peloso. He served in the United States Navy during the war and later worked as a radio officer at Texaco where he retired. Mr. Peloso was a Mason while he lived in Vermont, was a member of the Lion?s Club and Winfree Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Peloso.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Merila F. Peloso; sons, George Russell Peloso, John Michael Peloso, Robert Joseph Peloso and Dennis Richard Peloso; step children, David Robichaux and Lisa Marcelli; grandchildren, John Russell Peloso, Michael Peloso, Cheryl Buttrick, Brian Robert Peloso, Kristen Peloso, Elizabeth Anne Peloso, Carolyn Rose Reierstad and Matthew Joseph Peloso and great grandchildren, Ashley Peloso, Cassie Peloso, Layla Buttrick, Rebecca Reierstad and James Reierstad.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Winfree Baptist Church, 19525 HWY 62 S, Orange, TX 77630.
