Gerald “Jerry” Arthur McCullough, age 61, passed away peacefully March 28th in Beaumont, TX due to a long-time battle with cancer. He was born October 27, 1958 in Lewiston, Idaho and grew up on a farm near Troy, Idaho.
Jerry loved the outdoors and there wasn’t a frog, snake or grasshopper safe from his fast reflexes. He loved fishing and could often be found at a local fishing pond near the farm where he grew up.
He played both football and basketball at Troy High School, graduating with the class of 1977. He continued playing recreational sports throughout the time he lived in the Northwest.
Jerry had a variety of jobs throughout his life and for the last 5 years he was a Security Guard at the Stiles Unit of Texas Prison in Beaumont, Texas.
Jerry is survived by his companion Debbie Parker of Beaumont TX, brother Ron McCullough (Dana) of Nashville, TN, sister Diane Daniels (Randy) of Colfax, WA, son Joshua McCullough (Jamie) of Moscow, ID, daughter Alicia McCullough of Henderson, NV, and 2 grandchildren, Alex and Sarah. He was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Esther McCullough and his companion of 20 years, Cindy Harper.
A private family memorial will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery in Palouse, WA at a later date.
