Gladys C. White

Gladys C. White, 89, of Orange, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, December 25, 2007, in Arlington, TX.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Gladys was born March 28, 1918, in Ackerman, MS, the daughter of Bunyan and Ora Rhodes Carr.
She was a resident of Orange and a member of North Orange Baptist Church for over fifty years.
She was a member of the Sunset Grove Ladies Golf Association and was involved in many charitable organizations.
For the past ten years, Gladys resided in Arlington, Texas where she was a member of Fielder Road Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. White, brother, Wilber Carr and parents, Bunyan and Ora Carr.
She is survived by her daughters, Bobbie Robertson and husband Ed of Arlington and Julia Katherine White of Houston; grandchildren, Alison Richardson and husband Jeff, Trevor Robertson and wife Melissa and Tanya Robertson; great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Evan Richardson, and Jarrett Robertson; sisters, Hilda Carr, Julia Nan Woodward and Jewelene Wesley and husband Homer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
