She graduated from Cale High School and soon after married the love of her life, Bill Edd Dixon, Sr. They then moved to Orange, Texas where they raised their two sons, Bill Jr. and Obie. After the two boys began school, Glenda was encouraged to go to college to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher. She was very happy to be able to teach 1st and 2nd grades at Lorena Oates Elementary and Salk Elementary for a total of 25 years. After retiring, Glenda and Bill Edd spent their retirement years in the RV world with their trailer and motor home. They met great friends as their travels took them to Nova Scotia, to Alaska, the Rio Grande Valley and all points in between. Their greatest joy was spending time with their grandchildren.
