Glenda Dale Johnnie Schlicher, 58, of Orangefield went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 17, 2008.
A Graveside service will be held at a later date at Granger Cemetery in Duncan Woods.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Glenda was born December 13, 1949, in Orange to Vernon Johnnie, Sr. and Juanita "Dolly" Granger Johnnie.
Glenda was a homemaker and had also worked in the construction business for several companies in the area.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Schlicher of Orange, daughters, Venus Risinger Cassell and Sheila Cassell; stepsons, Anthony Schlicher and wife Wendy and Robert Schlicher and wife Tiffinay; ten grandchildren, 17 nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; surviving her also are her brothers and sisters, Vernon Johnnie, Jr. and wife Ellen Jane, Robert Johnnie and wife Kathy, C. C. Johnnie and wife Mary, Nita Breaux, Charles Johnnie and wife Pam and Sylvia Berard and husband Gary.
