Glenn R. Adair of Orange, 77, died Monday November 24, 2008 at Clairmont Nursing Home in Beaumont.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday November 28, 2008 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange at 1408 West Park Ave. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Adair was born January 20, 1931 in Murchison, TX to Preston Craig and Ruby Lou Ann Asher Adair. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy after 23 years of service. He served aboard the SS Walker in Japan, Korea, Germany and other ports. His final service was at the Naval Base in Orange, Texas..
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ima Adair; his parents and two brothers, Charles Adair and Hollis Adair and one sister Betty Curtner. He is survived by daughters, Freda Taylor and husband Danny of Sulphur, LA, Kay Maxwell and husband Les of Nederland, TX and Shirley Almazan and husband Pilar of Victoria, TX; by sons, Michael Adair and wife Joy of Arlington, TX and Thomas Harvey and wife Shannon of Burkeville, TX; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frankie Rounsavalle and Ann Richardson and one brother, Billy Adair.
Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Harvey, Brent Taylor, Wade Almazan, Robert Taylor and Kyle Adair.
