Gloria Co-Co Ladd

Gloria "Co-Co" Ladd, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 31, 2009, at Baptist Hospital in Orange. She was 84.
"Co-Co" was born on a glorious day, December 25, 1925, to Vernon and Ruth Ladd. She was born in Memphis, Tenn. where she spent most of her childhood and adult life. She had 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She was a graduate of Humes High School in Memphis.
She worked for Smith Wood Works and Buckman Laboratories. She retired from Buckman in 1988. She took care of sick family members for years and was the last of the Ladd family.
In 1998, she moved to Orange to be with family. She loved crossword puzzles, reading and her dog, Pepper.
"Co-Co" was a member of North Orange Baptist Church.
She leaves a niece, Dale Potter and her husband, Richard. She was a great and great great aunt to many in Orange.
No services will be held. Burial will take place later in the week in Memphis, Tenn.
The family would like to thank her care givers, staff at Pinehurst Nursing Home and the emergency staff at the Orange Hospital for their care and concern to Miss Ladd and her family.
