Grace Corkran, 75, of Bridge City, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2007, at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Bridge City, with Pastor Paul Zoch, officiating.
Born October 2, 1931, in Buffalo, New York, she was the daughter of James Edward and Grace A. St. John Arnold.
Grace had been a resident of the Bridge City area since 1962. She had worked as a bookkeeper and also distributor for the Port Arthur News. She was currently a representative for Avon and had recently achieved Rose Circle status.
She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and the church choir.
Grace loved working in her yard and serving her Lord and His church. She enjoyed helping others and devoted the last years of her life caring for her husband, Ray.
Preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph L. Corkran, sister, Althea Arnold and brothers, Raymond Arnold and James E. Arnold, she is survived by her husband, Ray Stewart of Bridge City; sons and daughter-in-law, Dale Corkran of Bridge City, Randy and Cindy Corkran, of Cypress; brother, Russell Arnold of Buffalo, New York; grandchildren, Jennifer Kelly and her husband, Keith, Cody Corkran and his wife, Kelly, Calvin Corkran and Rachal Kley.
Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Ashley Kelly, Tyler Kelly, Keegan Kelly, Kiegan Corkran, Kaydence Corkran, Trent Corkran, Ethan Corkran, Slade Kley and Jeredan Kley.
