Grace Clark Allbright

Grace Clark Allbright, 96, of Orange, died Thursday, August 16, 2012, at her residence.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend David Turner, pastor of Little Cypress Baptist Church. Cremation will follow at Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Born in Orange on November 9, 1915, Grace was the daughter of Frank and May Dean Keaghey Clark. She was a member of Little Cypress Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. Grace was a member of the Orange County Historical Society and served on the board of directors for several years. For 19 years, Grace volunteered for the Red Cross as a Gray Lady at Orange Baptist Hospital. She wrote several articles for the Las Sabinas, was active with Orange County Senior Citizens and served as historian.

Grace was a loving and very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother and considered family as her number one priority. She enjoyed nature, bird watching, and often reminisced about the "old times" with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 63 years, Clifton Allbright; brother, Ira Clark; and sister, Frances Brown.

Grace is survived by her three children, Wylie Allbright, Chuck Allbright, and Katy Latiolais and husband, Darrel; grandchildren, Corky Allbright and wife, Pattie, Karen Jeanine Flores and husband, Robby, Wendy Allbright, Corby Allbright and wife, Kat, Brian Latiolais and wife, Morgan; eleven great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Amsden and all the nurses and staff at Southeast Texas Hospice. They would also like to thank Grace's caregivers Anita, Judy and Sharon.
