Gregg was born November 25, 1952 in Orange, TX and was the son of the late Uriah Bill Rawls, Jr. and Hazel Rawls. Gregg lived in Knoxville, TN where he was employed as a construction engineer for Bechtel Engineers. Prior to moving to Knoxville, Gregg spent many enjoyable years in Aiken, SC where he was blessed with the birth of his son, Jesse Rawls and daughter, Laura Roberts, both of Orange, TX. Gregg will long be remembered for his love of the outdoors, music and family as well as his kindness and fun loving spirit. Gregg was blessed with the journeys to the depths of trivia and thought provoking questions will be missed. Upon serving his apprenticeship from Pipefitters Local 195, Gregg enjoyed travelling to various places in the US taking photographs all along the way before settling in Aiken, SC.
In addition to his children, Gregg is survived by his brother, David Rawls of Greenville, SC and sisters, Cathy Rawls of Austin and Jane Rawls of Orange. He is also survived by his loving nieces, Connie, Sarah, and Angela and nephews, Christopher, Ben, Jeff, and Maxx.
The family would like to express our deepest appreciation and love to our extended family, Jeri Floyd and daughter, Chelsea. Jeri and Chelsea shared their lives with Gregg and it is during this time that Gregg experienced many of the greatest joys in his life. Their love and caring towards Gregg cannot be expressed in words.
