Harold “Harry/Cuzz” Wayne Collins, 70, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on July 19, 2017, at his home surrounded by loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Mark Bunch, of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on January 23, 1947, Harold was the son of Harold M. Collins and Edna (Carre) Collins. He worked as an operator for Valero and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He kept great friendships with his Air Force buddies and met up with them once a year in Florida. Harold owned a cabin in Leakey and loved being on the beach in Grayton Beach. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and he loved his dog Willy. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold M. Collins; his loving wife, Ann Collins; and his brother-in-law, Phipps McGee.
Harold is survived by mother, Edna (Carre) Collins, of Bridge City; children, Michael Collins, of Denton and Rebecca Doucet and husband Travis, of Bridge City; grandchildren, Bree Cloud, Grady Doucet, and Delino Doucet; sister, Cheryl Brinson and husband Jeff, of Bridge City; sister-in-law, Jeannie McGee, Destin, FL; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Brinson, Mike Stegall, Chris Louvier, Matt Stephens, Kyle Stegall, and Grady Doucet. Honorary pallbearer is Delino Doucet.
