Harold F. “Freddy” Lee, Jr., 78, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on April 15, 2019, in Nederland, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Father Steve Leger. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
He was born on May 28, 1940, to Mary S. (Hulin) Lee and Harold F. Lee, Sr., in Port Arthur, Texas. Freddy was a 1959 graduate of Bishop Byrne High School in Port Arthur. He went on to proudly his serve his country in the United States Army Reserve. Freddy later retired from Texaco, formerly known as Neches Butane, after many years of work. He was also a retired Bridge City Fireman, and served as President of the East Texas Fireman and Fire Marshall Association. Freddy was a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Henry’s Catholic Church and was a fourth degree member of the Santa Maria Council in Groves. He was also the President of the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time, Freddy enjoyed leatherwork, carpentry, and making knives. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Harold Lee, Sr.; and his sister, Judy Patterson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carolyn Lee of Orange; his children, Harold F. Lee III and wife Sheryl of Orange, Brenda LeJeune of Orangefield, and Richard Lee and wife Beth of Bridge City; his grandchildren, Tabitha Parish and husband Brian, and Daphne Lee; his great-grandchildren, Colton Ray Parish and Cason Michael Parish; and his brothers, Michael C. Lee of Beaumont and Kevin A. Lee of Bridge City.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Lee, Richard Lee, Ricky Land, Ronnie Hulin, Bobby Aycock, and Brian Parish. Honorary pallbearers are Mayo LeBlanc, Michael Lee, and Harold Lee III.
