Harold W. Mays, Jr.

December 30, 1942 — May 24, 2008

Harold W. Mays, Jr., 65, of Bridge City, died Saturday, May 24, 2008, at his residence.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend David Millner and Reverend Bill Hutson of Calvary Baptist Church in West Orange.
Burial will follow at Mose Granger Cemetery in Orangefield.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Born in Pineland on December 30, 1942, he was the son of Harold W. and Dorothy Marie Jordan Mays, Sr.
Harold was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, a member of Pipefitter's Local 195 in Beaumont and Calvary Baptist Church in West Orange.
He retired from Westlake Petrochemical Company where he was a welding inspector and he enjoyed cooking.
Preceded in death by his father, Harold W. Mays, Sr. and his brother, Burl Mays, Harold is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jackie Boullion Mays of Bridge City; mother, Dorothy Mays of Orange; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Charlie Roberts of Bridge City; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Stephanie Mays of Orangefield; grandchildren, Trey Paul Rhodes, Brittany Mays, Haleigh Mays, Shayna Mays, Ian Putman, Cody Roberts and Ty Roberts.
Also surviving are his sisters and brothers-in-law, Sybil and Tom Hanten of Orange, Sandy and Ron Reeves of Buna; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Frank Nezat, Vickie Wylie, Shelia Morris, Jan and Marty Klucik, Gail and Jesse Norris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Buck Wayne Seals, Michael "Rowdy" Smith, Chuck Rybiski, Ron Drost, Mike Tomplait and Bobby Joe Shugart.
