Many years ago Dons grandfather Hammond Willey had died and we were at the wake held at Fuller Funeral Home in Orange. Some one made the remark, "all these Old Timers are about gone", Albert Adams an older gentleman said "no l'm next and these boys will follow me". I think of that night often, now Don and I along with several others are now the old timers. Don was a friend of mine back in the day we traded cattle worked cattle together and lived some horse and cattle stories I tell when I can get any one to listen. Another bunch of Old Timers are leaving the barn !!!!!

Don was a man of few words, but he was always so kind. He worked hard and he loved his family. He had a passion for horses and working cows…I once knew someone just like him. He was one of the last true cowboys, his absence will be felt for his family and loved ones for many years to come. I love y’all:heart:
