Hayden “Tank” Moore, 17, of Mauriceville, Texas, passed away on August 11, 2023.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Kevin Brown, of First Baptist Church in Mauriceville. Burial will follow the service at Wilkinson Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 18, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on March 21, 2006, he was the son of Ray and Tiffany Moore. Hayden attended Little Cypress- Mauriceville High School where he enjoyed spending time with his friends, his welding class, playing football, and had even recently joined the golf team. As a sports fan, he had a deep love for his umpiring job he held each season for t-ball with OYBS. His friends and family often referred to him as “Tank”. He was a big guy with an even bigger heart. Hayden had a marvelous sense of humor and could put a smile on anyone’s face with his amusing jokes. He was a true people pleaser at heart and never met anyone that he couldn’t strike up a conversation with or find a way to help. He was a smart young man, often having deep and meaningful discussions, reminding his family that he was a part of “the grown-up table”. With them living right next door, he loved being able to walk over and have afternoon visits with his Mamaw and Papaw, proudly holding the special title of first grandchild. Hayden loved to go fishing with his Papaw Ricky and his uncles and travel as often as he could, especially to ride four-wheelers in the mountains. He was an attentive and adoring big brother and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Just as Hayden always did, never go anywhere without hugging your loved ones and letting them know how much you love them.
Hayden is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Gladys Moore and Rena Veillon.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Ray and Tiffany Moore; siblings, Clayton Moore, Brayten “Peanut” Moore, John McCoy Moore, and Paisley Moore; grandparents, Rick and Debbie Veillon and Wayne and Beverly Moore; great-grandmother, Joyce Wilkinson; and aunts and uncles, Marcus Moore and wife Melissa, Justin Veillon, Josh Veillon and wife Macy, and Jordan Veillon and wife Katie; along with numerous other loving family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Marcus Moore, Josh Veillon, Jordan Veillon, Justin Veillon, Cody Daniels, and Norman Elmore. Honorary pallbearer is Brody Elmore.
