Hazel Warren Freeman

Hazel Warren Freeman, 89, of Natchez, Mississippi, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013, at Azalea Manor in Orange, Texas.

A graveside service will be at 3:30pm, Friday, September 6, 2013, at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton, Louisiana with interment to follow. Officiating will be Reverend Lynn Ashcraft.

Born in Osceola, Arkansas, on November 20, 1923, Hazel was the daughter of Knox Jones and Mae Jones. She retired from JcPenney and was a member of Bellaire Baptist Church in Dermott, Arkansas.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; first husband and father of her children, Hollis Warren; second husband, W.T. Freeman; brothers, Henry, Willard, Buck, Willie; and sisters, Alta, Myrtle, Estelle, Maggie, and Helen.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty Meadows and husband, Talbert, Rebecca Benoit and husband, Mike, Melony Delano and husband, Marty; grandchildren, Mark Meadows and wife, Telice, Chad Eldridge, Jerymie Delano; step-granddaughters, Kate Kalstein and husband, Jon, Megan Gerald and husband, Brandon; great-granddaughter, Ella Meadows; great-step-grandchildren, Payton Gerald, Parker Kalstein, Quinn Kalstein; brother, Knox Jones, Jr.; sister, Opal Pierce; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to send a special thank you to New Century Hospice; all the staff at Azalea Manor; Dr. Jones and staff in Orange, Texas; and Dr. Barry Tillman, Dr. Randy Tillman, and staff of Natchez, Mississippi.
