Hazel Mae Patin, 70, of Orange, passed away on February 24, 2021, in Orange.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on October 7, 1950, she was the daughter of James L. Griffith and Jesse Griffith. Hazel loved to spend time at the lake and beach, and could often be found fishing and camping. She loved going out on the boat and spending her days surrounded by her family. Hazel was an amazing matriarch, the best wife, mother and grandmother her family could have ever asked for. She had a heart of gold and her warm soul attracted all those around her. The lights of her life were her precious grandbabies, whom she deeply adored. Hazel’s family will miss her for years to come.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jesse Griffith; and son, Willie Ray Patin, Jr.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Willie Patin, Sr.; children, Stacey Patin of Orange and Amanda Freeman of Orange; grandchildren, Timothy Alan Morrow, Jr., Kaylee Lynn McDowell, Brock Tyler McManus, and Keigayn Adam Cole Granger; and sister, Virginia Thornton.
