Hazel Margueritte Margie de Bie, 83, of Orange & Rockport, Texas, passed away March 10, 2011 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. She was born on April 12, 1927 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Margie is the daughter of Abraham Allen Abe and Hazel Margueritte Jordan Kemble. Margie had been active in the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Orange.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Dick on December 24, 2010, her parents and brother, Cecil B. Kemble. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Sheryl M. Sheri & David Bethard of Orangefield, Texas and her son & daughter-in-law Richard S. Rick de Bie II & Carolyn of Redwater, Texas. She is also survived by brother & sister-in-law, Steve A. & Joan Kemble of Houston, Texas and sister-in-law & husband, Rita & Jean LeGrand of New Orleans, Louisiana. Grandchildren are Artie Emmons of Kennewick, Washington, Jessica Emmons of La Porte, Texas, Nick Bethard & wife Tanya of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Mary & Jenni de Bie both of Redwater, Texas and one great-grandson Michael Emmons of Kennewick, Washington.

A Memorial Gathering honoring both Margie and Dick de Bie will be held Saturday, March 19, 2011, from 5:00 ? 7:00 PM at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange and Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory in Bridge City.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to your local Humane Society or ASPCA as both Margie and Dick loved their pets, having both cats and dogs during their lifetime. The family wishes to thank Harbor Hospice for their care and compassion during our mother?s time of need.
