Helen Clippa, 80, of Orange, passed away Monday, August 22, 2011, in Groves.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2011, at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Jena, LA. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Mrs. Clippa was born in Rhinehart, LA on July 14, 1931 to Henry Ely and Ethel Marie Clark Paul. She was a homemaker and worked at the Little Cypress Cafeteria. She was loved very much not only by family, but by everyone she met. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a devoted Christian woman. She will be missed tremendously and will be in our hearts forever.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Ethel Fields and Henrietta Rutledge.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 64 years, Lionel Clippa of Orange and children, Linda Williams and husband, Donnell of Orange, Debra Spillers and husband, Lester of Leesville, LA, Brenda Maxfield and husband, Steve of Buckeye, AZ, Matthew Clippa of Deweyville and Belinda Sharp and husband, Marshall of Bridge City. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and many family and friends who will love and miss her.
The family would like to thank the many caregivers and staff of Magnolia Manor in Groves and a special thank you to Sharon of Odyssey Hospice in Beaumont who was with our mother in the last hours she spent with us. Also, we would like to give a special thank you to our parent?s wonderful neighbors, Leisa and Wesley Lewis who was also caregivers to our beloved mother.
