Helen Grace Dumesnil, 81, a lifelong resident of Orange, died, Friday, August 31, 2007 at Harbor Hospital of South East Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 3, 2007 at St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Jim McClintock. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 2, 2007 at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. A rosary will be recited beginning at 6:00 p.m. led by Reverend Jim McClintock.
Helen was born on April 13, 1926 in Port Arthur to Ruben and Margaret Inez LaQuetta Curl. Mrs. Dumesnil was a housewife and a member of St. Henry Catholic Church.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Charles Donnaud, brother, Sonny Curl, and two sisters, Ruby Hebert and Emmodell Welsh.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, C.J. Dumesnil, daughters; Virginia Buchman and her husband Larry of Borne, TX, Gloria Dumesnil of Orange, sons, Jim Dumesnil and his wife Cindy of Mauriceville and Bruce Dumesnil and his wife Cindy of LaPorte, TX. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, brother, Jerry Curl and sisters; Clara Green, Shirley Waldrep and Joycie Everette.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Keeling, Kevin Buchman, Kenneth Buchman, Mike Morris, Chad Jones and Kevin Soileau. Honorary pallbearers will be Brock Dumesnil, Eric McDaniel, Logan Morris, Mason Sonnier, Houston Sonnier, Gabriel Sonnier, Will Buchman and Cole Jones.
