Helen Loretta McMinn, 78, of Sour Lake was born February 22, 1940 in Knoxville, Tennessee and passed away April 5, 2018 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. A service honoring her life will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel in Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service.
Helen lived in Sour Lake for 30 years and was a former resident of Milton, Florida. She was a homemaker who loved deer hunting and crocheting.
She is survived by her daughters, Becky Jackson of Beaumont, Theresa Bingham of Milton, Florida, Karen Edgar and husband, Jim, of Milton Florida; sons, Gary McMinn and wife, Paula of Houston and Lee Diehl and wife, Debbie, of Milton Florida; and 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Johnson of Knoxville, Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Roy Richard and Polly Hayes; and brothers, Robert Richard and James Andrew Richard.
