Henry Joseph Jeanise, 85, of Orange, Texas passed away on March 2, 2020, in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Tom Haas. Burial will follow at Autumn Oak Memorial Park in Orange.
Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
Born in Jennings, Louisiana, on January 30, 1935, he was the son of Harry Jeanise and Mabel (Lavergne) Jeanise. Henry proudly served his country in the United States Army. He went on to work as a boilermaker and was a member of the Local Lodge 587, International Brotherhood of Boilermakers. Henry was hardworking and strong-willed, and was a great provider for his family. He loved spending time with his wife and cherished his memories of dancing with her. He adored his family and was a great Paw Paw to his grandson. Henry will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Mabel Jeanise; and his brothers, Horace Jeanise and Tony Jeanise.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Georgie Jeanise; his daughter, Sheryl Nance and husband Lowell of Orange; his grandchild, Cameron Nance; and his siblings, Shelby Jeanise, Beverly Houssierre, and Florence Mascari.
Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Folsom, Joe Bernard, Kody Campbell, Timmy Campbell, Rusty Bernard, and Lowell Nance. Honorary pallbearer is Cameron Nance.
