Hollis Boyd Hill, Jr. of Orangefield died on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.
Hollis was born July 9, 1976 in Orange, Texas to Cathy Gearen Hill and Hollis Boyd Hill, Sr.
Hollis is survived by his parents, his longtime partner and soulmate – April Hayes, his daughters Madelyn and Amelia Hill, his stepson Dylan Tully, his sister Amanda Feezell and husband Ryan Feezell, his brother Josh Hill and wife Christy Hill, his cousin Jimmy Goodson (who was like a brother) and wife Amanda Goodson, his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other beloved cousins, and friends.
Hollis is preceded in death by his grandparents Rusty and Wilma Gearen, Johnny and Zelma Marie Johnson and his cousins Bobby Goodson and Bridgette Goodson Gearen.
Hollis was a journeyman electrician for 20 years with the last 8 years at Mr. Sparky Electric. Hollis was charismatic and loved to make people laugh which he did frequently. He was clever and loved solving problems. He had a positive outlook on all situations and would always generously give to anyone who needed help. He was a friend to everyone he met. Hollis loved his dogs Trouble and Itchy but most especially Luke. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His unexpected death has deeply saddened all of us. He was taken too soon. He gave us so much joy on earth, but God now reclaims His prize. He’s flying high with the angels.
Join us to help celebrate his life at the Memorial Service held at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, TX on Sunday, January 17th at 2:00.
