Homer Isaac Sargent
Homer Isaac Sargent, 99, of Orange, Texas, passed away on July 1, 2015, at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, July 5, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Cremation is under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory.
Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 1:00pm.
Born in Jasper, Texas, on December 5, 1915, he was the son of Arthur Phineas Sargent and Castina Averilla Speirs. Homer was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and attained the rank of Sergeant. He was also a member of Madison Lodge 126 AF & AM in Orange.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Charlotte Ann Anthony.
Homer is survived by his daughter, Shirley Pillsbury; his grandchildren, Wendy Hanks, Stormy Apodaca, George Pillsbury, and Angela Pillsbury; 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
