Ilona Nan Baker
Funeral services for Ilona Nan Baker, 59, of Sour Lake will be held Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel in Beaumont. Internment will follow in Haven of Rest Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m at the funeral home.
Nan was born April 30, 1951 in New York City to the late Harold and Helen Kessler and passed away August 5, 2010 in Houston, Texas. For over 20 years, she was employed by the City of Beaumont as a Real Property Specialist and had previously worked for ATT. She was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a graduate of Lamar University receiving a BS degree in Education. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed word puzzles, cross stitching and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband, Larry E. Baker; daughter and son-in-law, Brandie and Chris Focken; son, Joshua Baker; grandchildren, Matthew and Maddilyn Focken, all of Sour Lake; and two sisters, Frances Grayson of North Tonawanda, NY and Lynn Rudkins of Lubbock, Texas.
