Ina Jeanne Lockart Neilon, 79, of Vidor, passed away on March 3, 2023, in Beaumont.

A memorial gathering will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 8, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Fayette, Alabama, on July 14, 1943, she was the daughter of Lecil Lockart and Jean (Trammel) Lockart. Ina became an audiologist and was a proud co-owner of Victory Hearing Center in Orange. She enjoyed conspiracy theories and was considered a “cat lady” because she loved her cats. Ina was also an amazing pianist. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim Neilon; parents, Lecil and Jean Lockart; and daughter, Sarah Ann Bednar.

She is survived by her children, Beth and Mark Lack of Orange, Mark and Laura Bednar of Allen, and Susan Ann Bednar also of Orange; grandchildren, Mark Lane Block, T.J. Phelan, and Lexi Bednar; and sister, Susan Lockart Bryan of Round Rock.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas. However, if you wish to honor her, she preferred flowers over plants.
