Inez Phelps

M. Inez Phelps, 93, of Beaumont, was born September 2, 1924 in Jasper County and passed away July 15, 2018. A service honoring her life and faith will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel in Beaumont with Rev. Lee Wagliardo officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Phelps had resided in Beaumont since 1941. She was a faithful and lifelong member of Cathedral in the Pines Worship Center and was a Past President of the Eagles Women’s Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Darrell Phelps, Sr.; and two sisters, Essie Dickerson and Edna Bobbitt.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Eve Phelps of Crystal Beach; two grandchildren, Nathan Phelps and wife, Erin of Houston, Emily Evans of Galveston; great-nephew, Joey Choate of Beaumont and great-niece, Christine West of Sour Lake.
