Irving Paul Broussard

Irving Paul Broussard, 82, of West Orange, died Friday, April 10, 2009.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, with the Reverend Joseph P. Daleo, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church, officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will begin Sunday at 5:00 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at
7:00 p.m., both at the funeral home.
Mr. Broussard was born in Jeanerette, Louisiana on November 8, 1926. He was the son of James and Octavia Hebert Broussard.
Mr. Broussard was a Marine Corp Veteran of WWII and a life member of VFW Post 2775. He was a boilermaker and retired as a shipping and receiving supervisor from American Bridge in Orange with 30 years of perfect attendance.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic minister for 20 years.
Mr. Broussard was a loving husband and father and enjoyed the times spent with his children and grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents and his six brothers and sisters, Mr. Broussard is survived by his wife, Gertrude Broussard; sons, Owen McPayne of Vidor, Wendell Broussard, Mark Broussard, Norman Broussard and his wife, Lori; daughters, Ellen Fleming and her husband, Pete, Susan Moody and her husband, Aaron, Marian Trammel and her husband, Douglas.
Also surviving are Mr. Broussard's 21 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Moody, II, Abram Moody, Matthew McPayne, Jason Broussard, Daniel Trammel and Paul Broussard.
Honorary pallbearer will be Wendell Broussard.
