Funeral services for Isabel Ritter Grounds, 91, of Beaumont, will be held Monday, June 25, at 2:00 p.m. at the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be John Ritter, Larry Barbee, John Carpenter, Robert Ryan, Sean Ryan, and John Shary. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, June 24 between 5:00 -8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Grounds was born November 17, 1915, in Orange, TX to Frank and Edith Ritter and passed away June 21, 2007, in Beaumont.
She was a past active member of the Magnolia Garden Club and the Women?s Club of Sour Lake. Her greatest loves were her family, cooking, salt water fishing, and her cherished Yorkie, Susi. She also enjoyed the beach, travel, and golf.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Toni Ryan of Beaumont; grandchildren, Scott Ryan and wife Michelle of San Antonio and Liz Ryan Shary and husband, John of Sour Lake; great grandchildren, Robert and Sean Ryan; and sister Helen Ritter Barbee of Garland, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leo R. Grounds, and brothers, DeForest and Harry Ritter.
