Isabell Bourliea, 93, of Orange died Tuesday, January 6, 2009.
A Mass of Christian Burial wil be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 9, 2009, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange. Reverend Tom Phelan will officiate.
Interment will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange.
Isabell was born January 19, 1915, in Jeanerette, LA, to Octavia Hebert and Jim Broussard.
Baptized in the Catholic Church, she remained a devoted Catholic Christian during her entire life. When St. Mary's, the Mother Church in Orange divided, she and her husband Paul dutifully became parishioners of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange.
Isabell is predeceased in life by her first husband, Adonis Lancon and their two infant daughters, her husband who she married on November 4, 1939, Paul A. Bourliea, daughter, Joe Hazel Bourliea Stonecipher and one son, Terry Lee Matthew Bourliea, two brothers, Harry Broussard and Willie Broussard and three sisters, Bernice Rogers, Evalina Owens and Lena Mae Taylor.
She is survived by her daughters, Eula Campbell of Orange and Mary Ann Staudt and husband Sidney of Greenville, SC; and son Larry James Bourliea and wife Rita of Orange; twelve grandsons, seven granddaughters, thirty one great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren; and brother, Irving Broussard and wife Gertrude of Orange.
Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Bourliea, Steven Campbell, Rick Smitherman, Ronnie Smitherman, Alton "Bud" Campbell and Stacy Campbell.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Robert Paul Campbell, Randy Smitherman, Regan Smitherman, Cory Alan Bourliea, Sid Staudt, Jr., Douglas Staudt and Bradley Staudt.
