Jack “Jay” Everette Baker, Jr.
Jack “Jay” Everette Baker, Jr., 58, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on June 12, 2017.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend David Green. Burial will follow at Nibletts Bluff Cemetery in Vinton, LA.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Brackenridge, Pennsylvania, on June 9, 1959, he was the son of Jack Everette Baker, Sr. and Phyllis (Burke) Baker. Jay was the owner of Baker’s Inspection Services and was a lifetime member of the Harley Hog club. He loved railcars and enjoyed being outdoors. He was also a dedicated, loyal, and relentless Steelers fan. He was a very loving and generous man who would help anyone; he especially loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Melissa Baker and Tammy Swiklinski.
He is survived by his daughter, Haley Bischof and her husband Jason, of Bridge City; his son, J. Everette Baker III, and his wife Ashley, of Bridge City; his grandchildren, Brenden and Max Baker, and Danika Bischof; his siblings, Denise Baker, of Brackenridge, PA, Tim Baker, and his wife Kim, of New Kensington, PA, and Jason Baker, and his wife Jen of Kingsport, TN; his aunt, Linda Baker, of Brackenridge, PA; uncle, Sterling Baker, of Nevada; former wife, Laura Baker; and his numerous loving nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
